life size zelda without jewlery papercraft by minidelirium life size zelda without jewlery papercraft by minidelirium
she took 226 hours to build. the cutting took 88h and the folding and building took 138h. I made a big mistake in the beginning and printed her on 120g paper, so I had to do it all over again in 160g and 200g paper. I'm very satisfied with the result and look forward to giving her to a distant friend. she is about 170cm tall.
I've asked her to put all the jewlery on her and take pictures against a better background, so look forward to that too!

the template can be downloaded from the talented template master PaperJuke
here are the links for download!

yay!!! :squee: consider yourself watched! I'm looking forward to seeing your build! I've been waiting for more builders to make her. she's awesome, pretty, and great fun to build imo. her only drawback is her size, she's like a grandfather clock. I hung her on a lamp pole instead of building the legs. way easier and a lot more durable I think. the first builder of her (Lilik) made the legs really strong but they still buckled under her wheight, so I'd go with the hanging instead of trying to balance her on legs you'd have to reinforce with like 10 layers of paper and glue.

She started to buckle on me, so i had my mates help me fill her to the brim with Expanding Spray foam, She's as hard as a rock, and all the mis-shapen pieces have fallen where they need to :) And thanks for the lamp pole tip. i needed that O_O :D

thank you but it's PaperJuke that has made the template, I'm just a papercraft builder so I had nothing to do with the pose. well, more than me making my best to replicate her from the template.

Absolutely amazing! I can't believe you took the time to make this! She's stunning!

One of these days I'm going to have to dabble in papercraft. If she was easy, then I shouldn't have too much trouble with something small-scale.

just remember that the larger builds tend to be easier since there are a lot less small detailed impossible parts.

True. Hadn't thought about that.
Though, I'm a sucker for small details. ^_^ I'll definitely give it a shot at some point. (When I'm not swamped with school work...)

I took way too much time doing her because I had to do parts over twice because I started her with 120g-paper.

That is a very very cool model.
She looks great.
Have you tried 300g paper yet, I use that for my models, they get very solid that way.
I submitted your picture for a feature in the papercraft corner group [link]

it was SO much fun to build! I highly recommend her!
thank you :D
nope, 200g is my thickest. it's expensive enough but I'd love to try thicker paper! all for the survival of my models. everything I built before Midna in her twili-form has been in 80-paper, so I'd love to try some really REALLY sturdy material too. shipable for one thing...

Well... it is not very expensive...
I let them print in a copy shop on SRA3 300g/mē paper, about 10-15% bigger then A3 I think,
it cost me 30 cents per sheet.
It would be 1,50 per sheet in color, but I paint my models anyway in the end.

Do you use scotch tape on the inside for fixing tricky parts while the glue drys? I do.
I although retrace every folding line with a scalpel before folding.

thank you!
but to be honest, I didn't find it that hard. your Yuna looked way more detailed and the Zelda model was fairly simple once I had printed it on the right thickness of paper. I'd like to build a life sized Link too but he is so much more detailed and seems a lot harder to build than Zelda was. but hey, it's not as if I'm gonna stop building big projects, so who knows...
